Dragon Blade Forge is a family workshop, not a brand. The same hammers and quenching kilns have been in the same hands for forty years and three generations.
Every piece is hammered, ground, heat-treated, polished, and fitted by smiths who learned the work from their father, who learned it from his. Five smiths. No production line. No automated grinder. Just steel, fire, and patience.
We sign every blade. We test every blade. The work takes as long as it takes.
“Two years of weekly cutting and the edge has not turned. The fittings have not loosened. Polish exceptional under raking light. Buy with confidence.”
“The hamon is alive. Worth twice the price. The signature is crisp on the nakago — you can feel the care in every fitting. This is what hand-forged means.”
“I own seven katanas across three smiths. This one became my daily, and the others sit on the rack. That tells you everything you need to know about Dragon Blade Forge.”
“The crane motif on the tsuba is extraordinary — carved, not stamped. After a year of display and occasional handling, the finish has not moved. A piece you pass on.”
“Tested this on ten rolls of tatami. Clean cuts to the last, no flex in the blade. The geometry is exact. A functional weapon made with the discipline of an art object.”
“T10 clay temper done properly. The hamon is vivid and changes under every light. Nine months of regular practice and the edge is untouched. The handle wrap is exceptional.”
