Kill Bill (-碳钢版) – Hand Forged 1045 Carbon Steel Katana Sword
The silhouette is immediately recognizable. The long 30 cm handle, the clean shinogi-zukuri ridgeline blade, the green aohada sheath – this is a hand-forged katana built to the specifications made famous on screen, produced in Longquan where katana-style blades have been made for generations. What sets this piece apart from replica catalogue products is that it starts as steel billet and ends as a blade, not as a cast or stamped approximation.

Steel & Construction
The blade is 1045 carbon steel, forged to the shinogi-zukuri profile – the ridgeline geometry that runs a visible spine along the upper flat of the blade and is the defining visual characteristic of the traditional katana form. The surface is finished bright and clean, the curvature is present and proportionally correct, and the blade reads as a katana when it is on display, not as a costume accessory.
The iron fittings on this version give it a darker, more austere visual character than brass or zinc alternatives. Iron tsuba (hand guard) and fittings do not shine – they hold a flat, matte grey tone that keeps the eye on the blade and the overall silhouette rather than the hardware. This is accurate to the aesthetic of the screen version and works well as a display piece in either a dedicated mount or a horizontal wall display.
Handling
The 30 cm handle is longer than the standard 27 cm on the other blades in this series, which is specific to this design and visible when you hold it – the extra length is there in the handle proportion, extending the grip line and giving the piece its characteristic look. The cotton ito wrap runs the full handle in diagonal cross-lace over the same (rayskin) beneath, and the texture is firm and even from ferrule to pommel. The green aohada saya draws cleanly against the blade with no play at the koiguchi (sheath mouth).
Care Instructions
Wipe the blade with a soft dry cloth after handling to remove fingerprint moisture from the 1045 carbon steel surface. Apply a light coat of choji oil or mineral oil every few months to prevent oxidation. Keep the sheath dry and away from prolonged humidity to maintain the integrity of the aohada bark finish.
