Torn Silk – Hand Forged Carbon Steel Wakizashi Sword

$139.99

Torn Silk (裂帛) takes its name from the sharp, clean sound of silk being torn — a metaphor for a blade so keen it parts material without resistance. The 1046 steel with blue heat treatment and polished white edge creates the same two-tone visual drama as the Sunken Jade. Hand-forged in Longquan with the classic shinogi-zukuri blade geometry, the 32cm blade is tempered for consistent hardness throughout.

Alloy fittings and cotton ito handle wrapping provide secure, traditional handling. The solid wood saya with piano lacquer finish protects the blade and presents it cleanly on a display stand. At 52cm total length and 800g bare weight, this wakizashi handles with quick, responsive balance.

At $139.99, the Torn Silk offers a distinctive two-tone aesthetic that commands attention — whether displayed alongside a katana as a traditional daisho pair or standing on its own as a collector’s piece.
